Stamps

A stamp is a piece of a chart kept in your account, to place in any chart you make later: a motif, a corner of a border, a word you have lettered. Stamps need you to be logged in. See Saving and your account.

Saving a stamp

  1. Select the piece with Select, Lasso or the Magic wand. See Selecting and moving.
  2. In the Selection tab, press Save as stamp.
  3. Give it a name and press Save stamp. Without a name it is kept as "Untitled stamp".

The stamp keeps the piece's stitches, half stitches and threads. When it is saved, a note says "Saved “name” to your stamps."

Placing a stamp

Add stamp, in the top bar, opens the gallery of your stamps. Search them by name, and press one to place it.

The stamp arrives in the middle of the part of the chart you can see, as a piece in hand on the active layer: drag it where you want it, flip or turn it, then Apply here. A thread the chart does not have yet is added to its thread list.

Add stamp is greyed out, saying why, when you are not logged in, when no chart is open in Edit, or when you have no stamps yet.

Your stamps page

In your account, Stamps lists every stamp you keep, with a search box and the number you have. Each stamp has three buttons:

  • Pin keeps it first in the list and in the gallery.
  • Rename changes its name.
  • Delete… asks first, as a deleted stamp can't be brought back. Charts it was placed in keep their stitches.

Limits

Limit Default
Stamps you can keep 100
Size of one stamp 4 MB

When you have as many as your account allows, saving another says so: delete one first. A piece too large to keep is refused with a note to select a smaller one.
